# Newsletter Saturday, October 17, 2026

## In brief

Anthropic is introducing a plugin system for Claude Code that installs skills, agents, hooks, and MCP servers as a single unit via the /plugin command. For agent security, the self-hosted sandbox Plimsoll and the CI tool AgentProbe have been released, while the MCP server has been updated to TypeScript SDK v2. Additionally, the open-source project MuscleMemory for procedural agent memory and the benchmark Parsimony have been launched. In the market, AI infrastructure platform Modal raised $750 million, and DeepSeek is leading a $400 million funding round in robotics startup Winverse AI.
