# Newsletter Thursday, October 22, 2026

## In brief

Developments in AI tooling today focus on agent workflows and cost optimization, with the launch of Nexus-CLI for DeepSeek and new tools for monitoring API spending. On the infrastructure front, LLM-D 1.0 has been released for Kubernetes inference and Respan offers an open-source Rust AI gateway. In addition, there are various updates for agent debugging, such as the Agency platform, and new self-hosted solutions for note management and AI integration are available.
